Job Description

Stop Go Networks is one of the top financial lead generators operating in the UK, US and Canada. As such, we process and store millions of records of personal information each year, and data security is our main priority.

In addition, the high volume of leads we process in real time for our data partners means that high performance and reliability are vital.

You will be reporting to the company owners and responsible for managing the Software Development and Platform Operations Teams.

In your previous roles you were a top-level coder, database and cloud engineer, and were involved in the development and maintenance of highly complex software systems. You still possess a high degree of technical skills and this may be your first time reporting at board level. You are able to provide detailed specifications for work as well as roll up your sleeves and get involved in mentoring the team and helping out with the technical work when required. You will be responsible for specifying and delivering projects which involve development of new and existing applications, and running a programme of modernisation of the existing platform and processes. In addition you must ensure the smooth running of the existing platforms in the
UK, US and Canada to ensure a near 100% uptime of services.

Background checks will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to company owners
• Managing and mentoring the Software Development and Platform Operations Teams
• Ensure smooth running of the live systems in UK, US and CA
• Leading a programme of Infrastructure Platform Improvements
• Managing a programme of Software Application Projects
• Specification of software and platform changes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years of engineering/technical experience
• Expert in one or more programming languages(PHP preferably)
• Expert in Database Technologies (MySQL8 and Postgres preferably)
• Expert in Cloud Architectures and Networking (Digital Ocean preferably)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• 5 years experience of Team Leadership and Management
